This cozy izakaya is located in Mission Valley. They don’t accept reservations, so make sure to arrive early! We got there right as they opened and were seated immediately, but within 30 minutes, the place was completely full. ⏳👥 Parking & Ambiance: There’s a small dedicated parking lot in front, but spaces are limited. Paid street parking is also available around the restaurant. 🅿️ Inside, the vibe is traditionally Japanese – cozy and authentic. There are mostly two-top tables, a few four-tops, and some bar seating. All seating is indoors. 🎎🍶 Service: Our server was attentive and friendly – she checked on us regularly, kept our water glasses full, and made sure each dish arrived promptly. 💧👘 Food Highlights: Soft Shell Crab Tempura ($13) – two whole small crabs, fried golden and served with sauce. So delicious – highly recommend! 🦀✨ Gyoza ($6) – six pan-fried dumplings, perfectly crispy. 🥟 Caterpillar Roll ($14) – a must-try if you love eel! 🍣 Lobster Crunch Roll ($17) – equally tasty and satisfying. 🦞 Unagi Don ($19) – grilled eel over rice. Great for sharing if you order other mains! 🍱 Overall: I really enjoyed this spot and will definitely be back.
