😋 No wonder this Richmond spot has been around for 20 years!

My boyfriend took me to Chajing Tea House in Richmond—a place filled with his college memories (that this SF-er never got to experience 🥹). I ordered the Stir-Fried Dry Pot ($29.99) 🍲 – it tasted a bit like Hakka-style stir fry, but with more cumin flavor! You can even choose three types of meat yourself, which I loved since I’m not a big fan of the tofu in traditional Hakka stir-fry. The stir-fried pork intestines inside were soooo good! 💥 He got the Pork Chop Baked Rice – It was incredibly tender and juicy!! Almost didn’t feel like pork 😮. Loaded with cheese and a tangy tomato flavor, and the rice underneath wasn’t plain—it was fried Western-style rice! So flavorful, and the portion was huge. The cheese on top was torched for that nice smoky touch~ such a unique combo! The assorted fried platter was also solid as always. 🙌 🍵 Since my throat was feeling a bit sore, the staff kindly recommended the Orange Peel Honey Lemon Tea – so thoughtful! Sometimes it’s not just about the food at small local spots—it’s also about the warmth and care they offer. 💛 When we checked out, the owner gave us a stamp card – $1 spent = 1 stamp, and you can redeem stamps for popcorn chicken or fried tofu! Super easy to collect—feels like a sneaky discount hehe. #LocalEats #HiddenGems #RichmondVA #ComfortFood #FoodieReview
