🍴 Richmond Food Guide Vol. 1
As a food lover who enjoys both eating and reviewing, I’m launching a "Richmond Food Guide" series to explore local eats 🍽️. Hoping to help fellow Richmonders—aka residents of this “most beautiful (or not?) suburban-rural mix”—decide where to eat next! 😉 📍 Melting Pot 🍽️ Concept: Upscale innovative fusion restaurant 👅 Flavor: Not for cheese-haters! 🚫🧀 (Note: uses aged cheese with stronger flavors, not fresh cheese) ✨ Specialties: Swiss cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, French-style hot pot (fondue-style stew), etc. 🏠 Atmosphere: Romantic and intimate—great for dates! 💑 💵 Price: Around $70 per person 📋 What We Ordered: Big Night Out Dinners ($114) 1️⃣ Classic Alpine Cheese Fondue 2️⃣ Melting Pot House + California Salad 3️⃣ Cooking Style: Coq Au Vin (French red wine braised chicken broth) 4️⃣ Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue 🍽️ Course Breakdown: 1st Course: Bread, veggies, and fruits dipped in cheese fondue 🧀🍎 2nd Course: Pretty basic salad 🥗 3rd Course: Main course cooked in Coq Au Vin broth (mild flavor, similar to Chinese mushroom broth). Ingredients were diverse but portions were small. Loved the shrimp and teriyaki-style beef! 🍤🥩 4th Course: Dessert—we were in a bit of a rush, so we took it to go. Probably better enjoyed dining in! 🍫🔥 ✅ Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for comforting, great-value food—there are better and cheaper options than Melting Pot. But if you’re celebrating a birthday, going on a date, or just want a fun and interactive dining experience, it’s definitely worth a try! 🎉🍷 #URichmond #Foodie #CheeseFondue #RichmondEats #WhatsNextPoll 🗳️✨
