đ Nordic Business Trip Diary | Sweet Summer Moments in Malmö
It takes less than 1 hour by train from Copenhagen to reach Malmö đžđȘ. Unlike the bustle of big cities, the pace here is slow and cozyâperfect for casual walks, daydreaming, and savoring the comfort of a Nordic summer. đ Transportation Tips Take the ĂresundstĂ„g (Ăresund Train) from Copenhagen Central Station (KĂžbenhavn H) to Malmö, which takes about 40 minutes. Buy tickets via the DSB app or at station self-service machines. The fare is approximately 120 Danish Kroner (DKK). Group discounts are available on the app for multiple travelersâgreat for saving money! đ Spots for a Leisurely Stroll All these spots are within walking distanceâideal for a relaxed one-day city walk! Malmö City Library A highly designed libraryâyou have to admire Nordic aesthetics! Its full-wall glass facade is nicknamed the âCastle of Knowledge.â When sunlight filters in, itâs incredibly quiet and cozyâperfect for reading or sitting back to daydream. The lawn outside is also fantastic: many people sunbathe and chat there, creating a super chill vibe. đ Kungsparken (Kingâs Park) Right next to the library, itâs Malmöâs oldest park. Lush with greenery, it has lakes and bridgesâwhen the summer wind blows, youâll just want to lie down for a nap đŽ. You can also spot swans and ducks hereâtotal comfort for the soul! 𩱠Gustus Shop & Gallery A niche, charming lifestyle boutique + art gallery. It sells Nordic designersâ handcrafts, tableware, paintings, and moreâall with great texture. The owner is super friendly and will share the stories behind each piece. Itâs perfect for picking up unique small gifts đ. St. Peterâs Church (Sankt Petri Kyrka) Malmöâs oldest church, featuring red-brick Gothic architecture. Its interior is quiet and steeped in history, with beautiful stained glass windows and wood carvings. Pop in for a slow wander if you pass by. âȘ Ribersborgsstranden A beach accessible from the city centerâeasy to reach by bike or on foot! It has vast lawns + shallow seawater. In summer, many people sunbathe, walk dogs, or swim here đ. Thereâs even a dedicated dog playgroundâso heartwarming! Btw, unlike the uniformly groomed dogs you might see on South Korean streets, Nordic dogs have so much personality! Many have long fluffy fur and a ânatural, unkempt easeââthey strut like they own the place âš. đČ What We Ate? Spoonery We visited this popular spot for Nordic comfort food. Itâs low-key in location but amazing in taste! I ordered beef stew: the meat was tender, rich in sauce, and tasted a bit like cumin beef from back home. The meatballs were also soft and delicious, with thick, creamy sauce. The prices are reasonable and portions are generousâtwo dishes were way too much for two girls đ. The overall vibe is relaxed and cozyâgreat for slow eating and chatting. Iâll definitely come back on my business trip next year đ«¶! #NordicTravel #SwedenTravel #Malmö #SlowTravelTheWorld #DenmarkTravel #NordicTourism #EuropeTravel
