🌯 North Carolina | Let’s Get Some Jian Bing!

Spent two days vacationing in NC 🧳 — and visited Fast Lane Jian Bing located in the Super G Mart food court! They’ve only been open for just over a month, and seeing jian bing on the menu got me so excited 😆! It reminded me of that amazing jian bing I devoured on Lotus City Walking Street in Hunan last November… right after getting my wisdom teeth out 🦷😂! The menu had so many options — I was totally dazzled 🤩! The girl at the counter recommended the Peking Duck Jian Bing, and I also added some garlic-flavored red sausage 🌭. The duck version was $14.95 + $2.50 for the sausage. Also ordered a Grilled Squid with Cold Noodles from the iron grill! Waited about 15 minutes since there was a decent line ahead of me 🕒 — but it was worth it! The jian bing was HUGE — easily enough for two meals! While the Peking duck was good, that garlic red sausage was the real star 🌟 — so fragrant and delicious, I’d definitely order it again! The crispy cracker inside paired perfectly with the sausage. The grilled squid was nice and chewy — though the sauce on the cold noodles was a bit heavy. If you prefer lighter flavors, you can ask for less sauce when ordering 👍. Later, I noticed they also had chive boxes and beef pies — the owner said everything is made fresh daily 🥟, and once they’re sold out, that’s it! Special shout-out to their chive box — honestly better than any I’ve tried in Atlanta! Not sure what secret spices they used, but it was seriously addictive 😋… really regret not buying more to bring home! Their homemade sour plum drink was refreshing too — brewed with smoked plum and hawthorn, you could tell it was freshly made 🧃!
