🌟This place is like an izakaya, offering a variety of Japanese dishes, with a full two pages of menu options. We spent $80 for two people, which felt a bit pricey, mainly because I was greedy and ordered a lot of small dishes. If you stick to one main per person, it’s not too expensive. 🌟The key point is that those small dishes were rather ordinary and didn’t impress, but the ramen was surprisingly delicious! 🌟The grilled eel was too thin, and the foie gras was pan-fried and then crushed over a rice ball wrapped in nori, not the big piece of foie gras on top of a rice ball that I imagined. The flavor was good, but that little bite was definitely not worth $17. The tempura was decent, with a very thin batter but slightly oily. 🌟I ordered the classic Tonkotsu Ramen, which comes in three flavors, and I chose Spicy Miso. This bowl of ramen was healing; the noodles were smooth and chewy, a bit thicker than usual. The broth was very rich, reminiscent of the ramen I had in Japan as a child. The chashu was also grilled, brushed with a layer of teriyaki sauce and torched. 🌟If I had to pick a flaw, it’s that they seem to love using lettuce and chicory as garnishes, whether in rice or noodle dishes. I would prefer wood ear mushrooms and bean sprouts instead. The curry rice was also delicious, with plenty of sauce, so you don’t end up with just plain white rice at the end.
