North Carolina Dining and Fun at “Open Rice Metropolitan”
🌟I’ve been wanting to recommend this place for ages! (I haven’t written about it because there are still so many dishes I haven’t tried yet 🥹) As a place I’ve visited numerous times, the pinnacle of Cantonese dim sum in Charlotte, it’s a must-go restaurant every time my friends visit. It’s definitely my top pick! I’ve been to several tea restaurants in the U.S., in DC, LA, popular ones, less popular ones, cheap and expensive, but none can compare to this place (so far, in my opinion)! Plus, it’s recognized by friends from Guangdong! 🌟The menu here is divided into two types: à la carte and dim sum. You can have both, though. The restaurant has many waitstaff pushing food carts around, asking if you’d like anything. If you see something on the menu you want but it’s not on the cart, you can just ask for it. Be aware that this place is always crowded on weekends, and there’s a line; it’s better on weekdays. Parking is in the parking deck next to Best Buy/Trader Joe’s, and it’s free. 🌟Here are a few of my absolute favorites to recommend! Dim sum: Fresh bamboo rolls, chicken feet, beef tripe, spare ribs, century egg and lean pork congee, egg tarts, shrimp rice rolls, char siu. À la carte: Steamed perch (it’s really delicious!), Lobster noodles (a stir-fried type with scallions and ginger). 🌟There are so many dishes I haven’t tried yet, but it’s definitely worth a visit!!! The prices are moderate, in my opinion. Google has the menu and prices, so you can check them out before you go. #NorthCarolina #Charlotte #NorthCarolinaCharlotte #NorthCarolinaFood #CharlotteFood
