Iβve had Karavan by 3 Olives on my list for a while, and I finally got to check it out when I took friends to play in Raleigh! Lamb Chop Kebab ππππ The lamb chops were tender, fresh, and odorless. The side of grilled vegetables was surprisingly delicious, and the mashed potatoes were as creamy as ice cream. The seasoning was mild; it felt like it lacked the grease aroma compared to another place called Silk Road. Manti Fried/Dumplings πππππ They look like giant xiaolongbao, as big as buns but with thin, delicate dough like xiaolongbao. The beef filling is huge, and itβs seasoned with onion and juice inside. One is enough to make you half full! The fried ones are super aromatic. Khachapuri πππππ I was shocked by the size of this; a starter as big as a medium pizza. The cheese is super thick, and the crust is even better than pizza!! Itβs milky and has a runny egg yolk in the middle. Cheese pull-apart lovers will definitely enjoy it! Plov Rice πππ Their plov is quite average. The meat used is beef, with only carrots (which are soft and sweet) and no yellow carrots, no nuts or dried fruit, and the rice grains are not very yellow β only the cumin aroma is noticeable. The next day, reheated, it was more oily and delicious. Tiramisu ππ Itβs a pretty standard frozen tiramisu. I wanted to order medovik, but the honey cake was out of stock! The overall atmosphere of this place is super good. When we went, half of the venue seemed to be booked for a small wedding banquet or some kind of gathering. People were dancing in pairs, and the men were watching a boxing match on the TV, creating a super fun vibe. The waiter was shyly cute, haha, with a bit of an accent but a super good service attitude. There are many dish options, but the lamb chops and plov are not as good as Silk Road in Cary. The steamed buns and the pointy pizza are definitely worth a try! #NorthCarolinaFood #NorthCarolinaRTP #NorthCarolinaDiningExploration #WeekendDining #EatingWithXiaoYecai #DukeUniversitySurroundingFood #Uzbek
