Northern Ireland 🇮🇪 | The only reason

If you don’t have a Schengen Visa for the Easter break, why not take a trip to Northern Ireland? And while you’re at it, try the Thai food that left me utterly obsessed.🍞 I spent two days in Belfast, and ate at this spot both days. 🏵️🏵️ On the second day, even though I’d already had dinner, I still took a taxi there to pack up a big portion. Let me tell you exactly why it’s so irresistible. 🟠 Curry Crab & Coconut Black Glutinous Rice (Must-order!!!!!)🎉🎉 The curry crab is thickened with shredded eggs—so much so that it’s hard to tell if the curry enhances the egg’s aroma or the egg boosts the curry’s richness. 🏫 The rich, simmered sauce was so good that even I, someone who hates onions, scooped them all up with rice 💞💞and ate them. 🍞The crab is a small one, but the meat in its claws is firm (probably thanks to the better quality seafood in this coastal city). The dessert is also incredibly delicious. When I ordered it on the first day, I never expected to be so blown away—it was a nice “surprise lesson.” 🌷🌷 The warm, melt-in-your-mouth black glutinous rice is paired with cool, slightly salty coconut milk and cream (a bit like salted milk foam, but less thick). 😚😚 One spoonful, and your mouth is filled with nothing but creamy goodness. After finishing the small bowl, all you’re left with is contentment and happiness.🌻 🏠This coconut black glutinous rice is why my friend and I immediately agreed to go back for takeout the next day—it even became the sole purpose of my trip to Belfast. The portion sizes at Golden Elephant are bigger than most Thai restaurants, with more seafood and side ingredients. So order according to how much you can eat. A heads-up: the location is a bit out of the way, so it’s not easy to get a taxi. 🚗🚗 They also don’t offer delivery, so try to go early or call ahead to place your order, then take a taxi to pick it up.🍊🍊 The restaurant has both Chinese and English menus, and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. During our meal, several local customers came in, and the owner immediately asked if they wanted their usual drink.💍 😊The space is quite large—we walked in without a reservation, but for safety, you can book in advance via Google Maps. 📍 The Golden Elephant (BT8 6NN) #100RestaurantExplorationPlan #UK #UKInternationalStudents #Sheffield #BelfastFood #ThaiFood #DailyFoodDiaries #WhereToGoEasterBreak #HiddenGemRestaurants #UnforgettableFood
