🌺 Oʻahu Food Guide Part 1 – Must-Try Eats Across the Island! 🍤🍜🍍
Ready to eat your way through Oʻahu? I’ve rounded up some of the island’s most-talked-about spots — from garlicky shrimp trucks and fresh poke to chewy udon and Hawaiian classics. Let’s dig in! 🦐 Big Wave Shrimp Truck 📍 North Shore favorite Went with this one after comparing all the famous shrimp spots — no regrets! Juicy, large shrimp with crispy fried garlic 🧄 Even as a garlic-hater, I couldn’t resist Generous portion — definitely worth the stop! 🐟 Poke for the People The only poke bowl I tried this trip — fresh and flavorful! Portion was a bit small, but quality was on point ✅ Great option if you’re exploring the North Shore 🍜 Marugame Udon Long line but fast-moving — don’t be scared! Udon noodles are chewy and satisfying 🍤 Jumbo crab tempura deserves a special shout-out — so good! 💡 Order regular size — the large just has more noodles, not more toppings 🛺 Pit Stop Hawaii Food Truck 📍 Near Waikīkī Budget-friendly & delicious 🌮 Steak taco — tender, flavorful, and packed with meat 🍔 Burger — guilty but glorious 🍟 Fries are fresh out of the fryer — owner kindly warned us: “Really, really hot!” 🔥 🧺 KCC Farmers Market 📍 At the foot of Diamond Head, Saturdays only 🥪 Fruit sandwich — cute but not life-changing (we have similar in Seattle) 🌭 Hot dog — juicy, line moves fast, but not a must-try 🍛 Curry beef rice from The Pig and The Lady (Vietnamese stall) — now that was a win! 🍠 Adela’s Country Eatery 🍜 Taro noodles — unique, earthy flavor! Topped with coconut cream sauce, shrimp, and mushrooms — rich and gets heavy 🐷 Added roasted pork — a bit oily (I prefer Cantonese-style crispy pork) 🍰 Ube cheesecake — overhyped 😬 too sweet for me 💡 Portions are huge — one noodle dish is enough for two! 🧊 Waiahole Poi Factory 🍛 Perfect for trying traditional Hawaiian food Dishes tend to be salty, but tasty — loved the laulau and chicken long rice 🍠 Poi (fermented taro paste) has a sour taste — not for everyone 🍦 ICE CREAM HIGHLIGHT: Taro ice cream — warm taro paste + coconut ice cream = HEAVEN Banana ice cream — tasted like overripe bananas 🍌… not my thing 🍍 That’s a wrap on Part 1! Stay tuned for more Oʻahu deliciousness. Have you been to any of these spots? What did you think? Let me know below! 👇🏝️ #OahuEats #HawaiianFood #FoodieGuide #ShrimpTruckLife #EatLocal
