Oahu, Honolulu Food Guide โ We Ate It All! ๐คฉ
Just got back to LA โ still sorting through all the food videos ๐ฅบ Hereโs a roundup of what we tried โ zero disappointments this time! All highly recommended ๐ ๐ Island Vintage Coffee Waikiki ๐ฅฏ Must-order: Ube Bagel โ so good! โ๏ธ Try the coconut smoothie โ even better than their coffee (which is also great). ๐ Pro tip: Go around 7 AM to skip the line โ sit on the left side inside. ๐ก Order less sugar โ everything here is sweet! ๐ Sushi Sho ๐ฃ Omakase experience โ incredibly fresh (we got chutoro!). ๐ฐ Expensive and booked 2 months ahead โ not the best value, but great for a special memory. ๐ Captainโs Fresh Coral Shrimp ๐ฆ BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! $80 for 5 lbs of giant coral shrimp โ each as big as your palm! ๐ Book via phone (check comments for number โ not always available). We had it prepared at Yi Xin Cafe ($18/lb cooking fee) โ sashimi, salt & pepper, boiled, and in soup. Absolutely worth it! ๐ Hau Tree Restaurant ๐ Best sunset view in Waikiki! โฐ We reserved 2 weeks ahead โ they cancel if youโre 15 mins late! We got moved to the bar (still great views). Food is okay โ youโre really here for the vibe! ๐ KCC Farmersโ Market ๐ Open Saturdays until 10:30 AM โ fresh fruits (a bit pricey but unique). โญ๏ธ Try Apple Star (weird but sweet and chewy!). Great if youโre short on time and want to try local produce. ๐ Five Star Poke ๐ 11 types of poke โ you can mix & match! The owner is super sweet ๐ โ add your own toppings. Walkable in Waikiki โ highly recommend! ๐ Totoya ๐ Best chirashi bowl ever โ fresh fish, authentic vibe. โ ๏ธ Small shop โ expect lines. Closed 2:30โ5 PM โ check Google before going! #HawaiianFood #OahuEats #HonoluluFood #FoodieTravel #EatLikeALocal #TravelAndEat
