This place has a stellar 5-star rating 🌟 My parents are visiting for the holiday, so I’ve been exploring food spots with them (focusing on sashimi they wouldn’t dare try in China + American steaks 😂). A Japanese friend recommended this new izakaya in Fullerton downtown, about 30 minutes from Irvine — so we headed over for dinner! ⭐ Smoked Truffle Salmon (Chef’s Special) Served with a little presentation flair! Made with salmon belly, lightly seared and paired with black truffle and smoke. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully layered. ⭐ Sashimi & Sushi Platter 🍣 The fish quality here is outstanding — as expected from a Japanese friend’s recommendation! Every piece is incredibly fresh. The chef’s selection is plated beautifully — perfect for a date night. Highly recommend the tuna and uni varieties! ⭐ Tepan Style Hot Stone Rice Bowl 🥘 A unanimous hit at our table — we finished it in minutes! If you prefer cooked dishes, start with this. ⭐ Motsu Nabe (Beef Offal Hot Pot) 🍲 Ask for no spice if you’re not into heat! Around $30 for a generously loaded pot — perfect for cooler weather. Will definitely order again. They have private rooms — great for small gatherings or romantic dates 💕 My parents loved it — quality, service, ambiance, and value were all on point.
