Oh Brother Philly — Philly Cheesesteak 🥪
How can you visit Philly without trying the iconic Cheesesteak? We headed to Reading Terminal Market early, but Uncle Gus had a huge line. Since we’d eaten breakfast late, nobody was super hungry, so we skipped it. Later, near Penny's Landing, we stumbled upon Oh Brother Philly and decided to give it a try.😁👍 Not sure what combo to get, I asked the cashier for a recommendation — ended up with American cheese + grilled onions + green peppers. At checkout, I originally opted for no tip on the self-service kiosk, but honestly felt awkward — plus the cashier had helped — so I added the minimum 15% tip. Order took about 15 minutes. The aroma hit us as soon as it was ready — generous beef portion!😍😘 The bread was a simple toasted baguette — crispy and paired well with the juicy beef, onions, and peppers. After a few bites, it got a bit greasy, but luckily the free self-serve pickled cucumbers and bell peppers at the counter were perfect for cutting through the richness. Total came to just over $21 including a soft drink and tip — very reasonable for a touristy downtown spot.🙌😁 If you have a smaller appetite, one sandwich can easily feed two people. #UnapologeticallySubjective #SavoryThenSweet #Philly #Cheesesteak #PhillyFood
