One-Day Trip Around Colorado Springs 🏔️🚂
Pikes Peak Cog Railway – Highly recommended! It’s the longest cog railway in the U.S. 🚞 Make sure to book your tickets online in advance. Try to select your seats early—the three-seat side offers better views! If you can’t get the front row, opt for window-facing seats. The entire round trip takes about 3 hours: roughly 1 hour and 10 minutes up, 1 hour and 10 minutes down, and 40 minutes at the summit. The view from the top is absolutely stunning 🌄, but it can be very windy and chilly. Don’t forget to bring a warm jacket or a windbreaker! ❄️🧥 Flying W Ranch – Think of it as an American-style ranch experience 😄🐄 It’s definitely worth a visit if you’ve never been! Tickets should also be purchased online ahead of time. The gate opens at 5 PM, dinner starts at 6:30 PM, and the show begins at 7:30 PM. I recommend arriving early—there are cute animals 🐐, a trail leading up to a hilltop, and even Native American performances before the main show. The dinner is simple but enjoyable, and the real highlight is the Western cowboy band performance after the meal—super fun and full of great vibes! 🤠🎶 Perfect for those looking to experience something new and authentic! We stayed at Glen Eyrie Castle 🏰 that night—just a 5-minute drive from the ranch. The castle is gorgeous and has so much to explore. I’ll share more about it in my next post! 👀💫 #Colorado #TravelColorado #PikesPeak #FlyingWRanch
