One of the Top Three Sushi Restaurants in Des Moines
šIām a big fan of sushi and have already tried two of the top three sushi spots in Des Moines (Miyabi 9, Akebono 515, and WTAO). šŗThis time, I visited Akebono 515 with a friend. We ordered tamagoyaki, salmon roe, and eel for appetizers. š·The salmon roe was sweet and delicious the first time I tried it, but unfortunately, it was sold out on my second visit. āØThe tamagoyaki here is better than at other local restaurants that serve itāthough I havenāt tried it at the other two top sushi places. š«As for the eel, it tasted fairly standard, similar to what Iāve had elsewhere, with no particular standout quality. š„£We also tried the beef bowl and pork cutlet bowl, but both were underwhelming. The beef bowl was overly saltyāI drank two glasses of water after finishing just half a bowl. šThe pork cutlet was overcooked and tough, though still edible. Overall, I wasnāt very satisfied with the cooked dishes. šAddress: 215 10th St Suite 120, Des Moines, IA 50309 #SushiRestaurant #LifeInNorthAmerica #DesMoines
