📍 Oregon Foodie Find! Recently Renovated and Charming Thai Restaurant

This place has been around for a while but recently got a facelift and a new owner. I saw a TikTok of the interior and was impressed by the decor, so I decided to check it out. It feels like a cozy spot to enjoy a meal and have a chat. The only downside is that it closes at 8:30 p.m. and takes a break from 3-4 p.m., which is a bit early for some. 🕒 There are plenty of Thai restaurants in Portland that are both delicious and visually appealing, but I hadn't tried this one yet and was curious. There are many other great dining options in Beaverton, but since Portland has so many amazing places, why go all the way to Beaverton? 🍔 - Thai Iced Tea: It’s pretty good—not too sweet! They also have a variety of other drinks that look interesting. - Crispy Fish: It’s decent. It’s a special, and the sauce that comes with it is quite tasty. - Crispy Chicken Basil: Skip it! The flavor is nothing special, and we barely ate it. It’s a bit spicy (we ordered medium), but not overly so. The coating is thick, and it lacks a strong chicken flavor. - Snow Crab Fried Rice: It’s good, but I’ve had more tender versions. So, it’s just okay. - Ka Na Moo Krob: This is their recommended fried pork belly. It’s salty and best enjoyed with rice. - Pad See Ew: It’s sweet and salty, which is typical for this dish, and I really like it. Just drink plenty of water! Hahaha. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango: It’s average but nice. The ube flavor is seasonal. - Fried Ice Cream: The ice cream is vanilla, but the cream on top is Thai tea flavored. I’m not a fan of the fried part, and the cream flavor isn’t very pronounced, so it mostly just tastes like regular ice cream. ❗️ The dishes tend to be on the sweeter and saltier side, but they go well with rice. ❗️ The menu has many interesting options, and I’d come back to try more because the flavors are generally good. ❗️ The service was great. They were happy to bring all the dishes at once when we asked, and even accommodated my request to serve the Thai iced tea later for photos. Maybe it helped that we were the last customers to dine in. We arrived at 7 p.m., and no one else came in after us, even though it was a weekday. There were still a few people outside. ❗️ I didn’t notice the chef, but the waitstaff spoke Thai. ❗️ There’s a small parking lot shared with other businesses, but I parked on the street. There’s plenty of space nearby. 💲30-50 📍 Rama Thai Restaurant 12874 SW Canyon Rd, Beaverton, OR 97005 #PortlandEats #Portland #OregonFoodie #FoodieAdventures #PortlandFoodie #PortlandRestaurants
