Oregon in the summer is absolutely legendary! đ Mt. Hood & Mt. Adamsâevery casual shot looks like a movie frame. đŹ Lost Lake totally lives up to the hypeâbreathtaking at first sight . đď¸ The mountain road to get there is winding, tricky to drive, and pretty remote. Halfway through, it really hits you why itâs called âLost Lakeââso fitting. But once you reach the viewpointâjust WOW. Totally worth it. Wouldâve driven another half hour for that view. Personally, I think itâs even more stunning than the more famous Trillium Lake. Visited two lavender farms: Hood River Lavender Farm and Hope Ranch Lavender. If you want that perfect shot of lavender with snow-capped mountains, Iâd recommend Hope Ranch. Both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams are clearly visible with hardly any blockage. Itâs less crowded than Hood River (since itâs not as well-known), the lavender is deeper purple, and the photos turn out gorgeous. The farm owner is super sweetâno charge just for photos; itâs $10 per bundle if you want to pick. Hood River is bigger, has more activities (like ice creamâwhich wasnât that good tbh đ ), but the mountain views are more obstructed and it gets crowded. A lot of the blooming lavender had already been picked by visitors, so the fields didnât look as vibrant. Also recommending a nearby Chinese restaurantâGrace Suâs China Gorge Restaurant. Itâs American-style Chinese food, but their Chongqing chicken and stir-fried veggies were surprisingly tasty! The owner is really friendlyâshe grew up in Indonesia and speaks a little Chinese. She even gave us a Fruit Loop map and recommended Lost Lake. If youâre around Mt. Hood and craving Chinese, give it a try! 𼢠#StudyInUS #NorthAmericanLife #NatureLover #DailySnaps #Oregon #Portland#Travel #Wanderlust #OffTheBeatenPath #RoadTrip đđ¨
