Oyster Restaurant by the Beach in The Hague 🦪
Originally, I planned to visit the famous Simonis aan de Haven, but they close at 8 PM. So, I ended up at Oyster Pearl – partly because I’m really into oysters, and partly because the name sounded beautiful! 🌊✨ 🦪 Oyster Platter (Oyster Pearl Plateau 6st) – €30 This platter includes six types of oysters from different regions. Each oyster varies in size but all are super fresh. Perfect with a squeeze of lemon for a one-bite delight! 🦐 Grilled Gambas with Potatoes – €32.95 Six large, tender, and perfectly grilled shrimp – incredibly satisfying! 🍘 Fish and Chips Among the main dishes, this is the most filling option. The fried fish with sauce was delicious, highly recommended! €27.95 🦪 Shellfish Platter (FDM Shellfish) This includes a variety of shellfish, crab claws, and razor clams. We shared one order for two, but it was just okay. The crab claws were hard to crack open, making it quite the effort! €39.95 🍸 Pinot Grigio (fles wit) – €37.5 The server recommended this white wine, which paired well with the oysters. At 12%, it’s light and easy to drink. We also ordered some bread and fries to fill up. Service was a bit slow in the evening, and waiting in the cold made us quite hungry. They do have tables with fire pits, which you can reserve in advance (we didn’t get one). We arrived around 8 PM, and it wasn’t fully packed. Total cost per person was about €51, which is reasonable for a beachside restaurant, though next time, I think I’ll try a seafood market to satisfy my seafood cravings even more! #DutchSeafood #TheHagueSeafood #TheHagueBeach #OystersInNetherlands
