PA Village American Restaurant
Met up with a local Delco friend at The Fainting Goat, a popular American spot (more like a lively bar). Place was buzzing — live band, cheerful “white aunties” dancing awkwardly 💃🎶. The menu was heavy on fried food, cheese, burgers, and potatoes — not the most inspiring lineup. Given Delco’s strong Italian-American roots, I went for the roast pork sandwich — an immigrant classic. Turned out to be the most reliable “white people dish” in Philly’s suburbs! The pork loin was well-seasoned and tender, paired with provolone cheese and soft bread. Yes, it’s calorie-packed, but pretty tasty 😋. Would’ve loved some veggies — adding long hot peppers probably would’ve made it even better. Portion was huge — took half home and barely finished it for lunch the next day 🍱. That said… if I had a choice, I’d still pick an Asian restaurant any day 🍜😅. #SandwichLove #MeatLover #PhillySuburbs #AmericanLife #WhitePeopleFood #PhillyLife
