Palm Springs & Indian Canyons Guide

I was mainly interested in two spots in Palm Springs: Indian Canyons and The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. This time, with limited hours, I focused on Indian Canyons and added two quick photo stops along the way. Palm Springs itself has plenty of dining and shopping options and is close to the Desert Outlets, making it ideal for a 1–2 night stay. It pairs perfectly with a trip to nearby Joshua Tree National Park. Cabazon Dinosaurs – World's Biggest Dinosaurs Located next to the Desert Outlets, these giant dinosaur statues make for a fun 10-minute photo stop 🦕📸. Address: 50770 Seminole Dr, Cabazon, CA 92230 Forever Marilyn The iconic Marilyn Monroe statue—easy to pull over for a 20-minute stop and snap a few pictures 👠✨. Address: Museum Wy, Palm Springs, CA 92262 Indian Canyons Entry fee: $12 per person. The main trail is Andreas Canyon Trailhead—a beautiful desert oasis walk along Andreas Creek 🌵💧. Round trip is about 1.2 miles. Parking/navigation: S Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92264 🥾 Tip: Start on the right side of the loop—you’ll stay in the shade most of the way and can take your time photographing and enjoying the creek. The left side climbs uphill and is better for a quicker return to the parking area. Palm Springs combines easy desert beauty, quirky art, and accessible trails—perfect for a relaxing day or weekend getaway. 📸 Gear: Sony A7C2 + Tamron 28–200mm | Edited in Lightroom #SonyA7C2 #Tamron28200 #Photography #TravelPhotography #IndianCanyons #PalmSprings #Hiking #USATravelGuide #DesertTravel
