There are plenty of parking spots available, and it’s totally free — no extra costs here! After parking, head toward the lake following the pink arrow in📸. Quick note: The bridge mentioned in is still under construction, and there’s road work going on nearby. ☕ Little Detour for Coffee I started the morning with a coffee at *The cafe... with no name* nearby. My GPS suggested a detour because of the road work, but honestly, it felt unnecessary — the actual drive was smoother than expected, so you might not need to follow the detour either! 🚶 Lakeside Walk to the Mini Train If you skip the bridge direction during your lakeside walk, you can keep strolling straight until you reach the mini train spot. and 11 show exactly where the mini train is located — it’s at the Auckland Society of Model Engineers** 🚂. Follow the arrow in to find the ticket office. 🕒 Operating Hours & Ticket Prices - Hours: Every Sunday, 13:00 - 16:00 (don’t miss the time!) - NZ$2 per ride - Buy 5 rides, get 1 free (NZ$10 for 6 rides — such a good deal!) 🚂 Mini Train Experience The little train winds through tunnels, passes sea views, and goes through tree-lined areas — it’s so charming! Each ride lasts about 4 and a half minutes. After our rides, we walked back to the parking lot to get our car. P.S.
