Paris Mountain | South Carolina | State Park
Looking for a weekend getaway from Greenville? This state park is a solid pick for a low-key day out 🏞️! Paris Mountain State Park is just a 20-minute drive from Greenville’s downtown—super easy to reach for a spontaneous weekend trip. Ticket Info $6 per adult (important note: it’s per person, not per car! ⚠️) $3.50 per child You can buy tickets on-site or pre-purchase them online—no hassle either way. Trails & Hiking The park has several trails to choose from. We tried the Sassafras Trail, which is labeled as “moderate”—but honestly, it was pretty easy! The estimated time was 1.5 hours, but we finished it in just an hour (great for casual hikers or anyone who doesn’t want a tough workout 🥾). Pro Tip for Non-Campers If you don’t have a campsite booked 🏕️, driving through the park goes quickly—there aren’t many parking spots 🅿️ along the way. After our hike, we drove to Lake Placid (also near the park’s central area). There’s a souvenir shop here, and the best part? You can borrow fishing rods for free inside 🎣! Unfortunately, it had rained heavily the two days before our visit, so the lake water wasn’t very clear—we didn’t go in, but we still saw plenty of people swimming and renting boats to paddle around 🚣. Final Thoughts Don’t go in expecting a grand national park—this spot is small, and the scenery isn’t mind-blowing. But if you’re just looking to kill a few hours on the weekend, stretch your legs, and get a little fresh air? It’s totally worth it. #WeekendVibes #HikingAdventures #StateParkFun #SouthCarolina #GreenvilleWeekend
