🦞 Parrain’s Seafood Restaurant in Baton Rouge

📍 Baton Rouge, Louisiana I’d seen so many rave reviews about this place, but honestly — it was pretty underwhelming 😕. Everything we tried leaned way too salty — and I usually love bold flavors! Here’s what we ordered: 🐟 Two fish dishes (grilled and blackened) 🥪 One shrimp Po'boy sandwich 🍚 Dirty rice 🍃 Creamed spinach 🥦 Roasted cauliflower Nothing stood out — the fish was overcooked, the Po'boy was just okay, and the sides didn’t bring anything special to the table. The creamed spinach was especially salty — I couldn’t finish it. Maybe we caught them on a bad night 🥺, but I definitely don’t plan on going back. There are so many other amazing seafood spots in Baton Rouge — like Sammy’s Grill for crawfish or Juicy Seafood for Cajun boils — that deserve the hype way more!
