Pasadena | Timeless Classic Steakhouse
This is the only spot in San Gabriel Valley & San Fernando Valley where you can enjoy U.S.D.A. Prime Steak (not just Choice!). All beef is directly sourced from the Midwest, hand-cut by their butchers, then dry-aged for at least 28 days! 🔔 Reservations recommended — it’s always busy. Service can feel a bit rushed — we waited a while for our food. 🌟 Steak — Every cut and cooking style is executed perfectly. 🌟 Sides — Unlike some places, bread isn’t free, and sides are extra. Sauces also cost extra, but the Peppercorn sauce is worth it (though the steak alone is flavorful enough!). Top side picks: Creamed Spinach, Signature Mac & Cheese, and Jalapeño Corn Pudding. 🌟 Special Menu — Changes daily, but the off-menu Lamb Chop is a must-try — incredibly tender and well-seasoned! This time, I brought a bottle of Schrader Heritage Clone 2019, so I went with steak to do the wine justice. (This bottle alone costs more than several meals here 😅.) 🍭 Dessert — Highly recommend the Soufflé! Rare to find in an American steakhouse, and theirs is done right. Two flavors available — both delicious. Order it when you place your main order — it’s made fresh and needs to be served immediately. 🅿️ Valet parking available or street parking if you’re lucky. 🎵 Arroyo Chop House (ACH) is that classic, old-money American steakhouse with solid atmosphere. Across the street is its sibling restaurant Parkway Grill (high-end seafood and BBQ, live music on Friday nights). Both have been Pasadena staples since 1984 — these brothers definitely know good food. 💰 About $100 per person | Corkage fee: $35 per bottle #HiddenGem #FoodieLife #SteakRecommendation #Pasadena #Steakhouse #Schrader
