Pasadena Food | Exploring Michelin French Restaurant Perle 🍽️✨
This restaurant is tucked away in Old Town Pasadena. The space isn’t huge, but it’s beautifully designed. We wanted to sit outside, but the patio was fully booked — so if you prefer alfresco dining, be sure to reserve ahead! This is easily top-tier French cuisine in my book — every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! 🦪 Oysters (half dozen) So tender you can just slurp them right up — no prying needed. 🐌 Escargot Shelled snail meat soaked in herbed butter with a hint of pistachio aroma. Served with fresh baguette — perfection! 🦆 Duck Liver Pâté As someone who doesn’t eat liver often, I’m not sure if this is “classic,” but it was rich, smooth, and yes — a bit funky (maybe that’s just liver?). The fig jam underneath was the perfect sweet balance to cut through the richness. 🍗 Coq au Vin My favorite! Tender fall-off-the-bone chicken braised in red wine with earthy morel mushrooms and smoky bacon — so flavorful. The mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy, possibly the best I’ve ever had. While my friend devoured the chicken, I couldn’t stop eating the potatoes 😂. 🍝 Truffle Pasta Exactly as described — fragrant, generous with truffle, and utterly satisfying. If you’re in Pasadena — don’t miss this spot! 📍 Perle Restaurant #PasadenaEats #PasadenaFood #PasadenaDining #PasadenaLife #PasadenaExploration
