Perfect Getaway for Couples Studying in North America: Taos Edition
♨️ Taos Hot Springs After a long day of exploring and shopping, nothing beats a relaxing soak in natural hot springs! These geothermal pools along the Rio Grande are fed by natural hot springs (not heated hotel water!) and are believed to have healing properties — perfect for soothing tired muscles before bedtime. Heads up: Since it’s a popular spot, weekends can get crowded. We recommend visiting on a weekday if possible. One of the most magical parts? Stargazing from the warm water! We went around dusk and watched the stars slowly light up the sky — a moment we’ll never forget ✨. Just one tip: Check the current access and conditions of the springs before you go, as they can vary with weather and season. You don’t want to show up to a closed spring! 🌉 Rio Grande Gorge Bridge This bridge is a must-see — it’s not every day you see such impressive and beautiful infrastructure in the U.S. 😍 As an iconic steel arch bridge stretching across the Rio Grande Gorge, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. Standing 172 meters above the river, the panoramic scenes of the rugged canyon and flowing water below are absolutely Instagram-worthy 📸! You can take a leisurely stroll across the bridge and feel what it’s like to hover above the vast canyon. Walking across together felt incredibly special — sharing such a unique moment 💞. But fair warning: if you’re afraid of heights, maybe sit this one out 😅. The view straight down is not for the faint of heart! There are also hiking trails along the edge of the gorge with stunning overlooks. You can enjoy a picnic in designated areas while feeling the cool canyon breeze 🍃. And now… for the adrenaline rush! White-water rafting: We joined a guided tour, and let me tell you — it’s not a calm paddle 🚣♀️! This is full-on excitement with splashes and bumps. You will get wet, so wear your swimsuit! Hot air balloon ride: If rafting is too intense, how about a balloon ride? New Mexico is famous for its hot air balloons 🎈. Floating during sunrise or sunset with golden light washing over the canyon walls… pure romance! #Taos #StudyAbroad #CouplesTravel #NorthAmericaLife #HotSprings #Adventure
