Perth, Western Australia: 6 Days 5 Nights Free & Easy Travel Guide
In May, we wanted to see the ocean somewhere chilly ๐ฅถ, and since it was just the beginning of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, a friend recommended Western Australia for its stunning Indian Ocean views ๐โ๏ธ. Flight tickets were super cheap at that time, so my friend and I applied for our visas on the same day! *Visa application was easier than expected โ both of us got approved in one go โ . We only provided payslips and identity documents. Approval took about 1-2 days. For a detailed tutorial, check out other travel bloggersโ posts!* We used the auto gate at the airport but wanted an Aussie stamp ๐, so we asked the staff โ they were super friendly and stamped our passports manually! ๐๐ซถ Then we headed to DFOโฆ but it wasnโt as great as we expected ๐๏ธ. Polo didnโt have many styles or discounts. The best deals were at Tommy and CK โ decent variety though mostly past-season items. Still, we found some nice clothes! ๐๐ After that, we took a taxi back to the city to check into our hotel ๐จ. All three hotels we stayed at in Perth were pretty good! Nights 1 & 2: Mercure Perth (4-star โญ) Very central โ 5 mins walk to the cathedral, 10 mins to the shopping street. A bit old but clean and comfy. The location is perfect! ๐๐ We visited the cathedral, town hall, and shopping district. On Fridays, shops close around 9:30 PM โ other days, as early as 6 PM ๐ฎ. My friend and I were amazed by how relaxed life is here. No rat race! ๐ On Day 2, we picked up our rental car ๐. We originally planned to rent from Day 3, but the staff suggested renting earlier for almost the same price. We booked with No Birds โ affordable and good insurance coverage โ . We pre-booked online and paid on-site. Easy! First stop: Fremantle Market ๐ฎ. Lots of small stalls selling crafts and food. Felt a bit like Bali โ nothing super unique, but the food was delicious! We bought food and ate outside on the streets โ very chill and perfect for those ~relaxed vibe~ photos ๐. Next: University of Western Australia ๐๏ธ. So beautiful and vintage! Every corner is photogenic ๐ธ๐. Then: Scarborough Beach ๐ . Chilly sea breeze + sunset = pure bliss ๐๐. We sat on the grass watching the sun go down โ totally relaxing ๐ซถ. There are many food stalls nearby โ great for dinner! ๐ด The itinerary in my pic was our initial plan โ we didnโt visit every spot, but feel free to use it for reference ๐. #PerthWA #WesternAustralia #TravelGuide #UWAPerth #ScarboroughBeach #FremantleMarket #NoStressTravel
