Perth Road Trip đ Albany-Denmark Scenic Loop in Western Australia
Following the previous guide to Albany, we set off from the Wind Farm towards Denmark on the second day. Iâve marked the route we took on the mapâthis loop is perfect for a 2â3 day trip! The forest road from Denmark to Bunbury passed through many charming small towns, each with its own unique character đĄđ˛. If you have time, slow down and explore themâwe stopped at one for dinner, and it was fantastic! The rest, weâll save for next time đ. đ Highlights of the Trip 1ď¸âŁ Green Pool & Elephant Rock Actually part of a trio of attractions (I forgot the name of the third beach đ ).The water at Green Pool is incredibly clearâperfect for swimming đââď¸.The smaller beach is great for fishing đŁ, while Elephant Rock is a rocky shorelineâsturdy shoes are a must!Walking along the rocks offers stunning ocean views đ. 2ď¸âŁ Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk A refreshing change from the coastâtowering trees that two people canât even wrap their arms around đł!Paid treetop walkway: High in the canopy, swaying gently in the windâboth thrilling and peaceful đ.Free ground trail: Features unique sights like lightning-struck trees and hollow rootsâbut avoid touching them due to ancient fungi â ď¸.Said to be home to quokkas, but we didnât spot anyâŚnext time, Rottnest Island! đ 3ď¸âŁ Tall Timbers Manjimup This town has a 70m free slide (closes at 5:30 PMânext time! đ).The highly-rated restaurant requires reservationsâeven on holidays, we only got a corridor seat!Amazing dishes crafted by a creative chefâevery bite was a delight đ. đĄ Travel Tips The round trip is about 900 kmâplan for breaks and enjoy the journey.Download offline mapsâsignal is weak in forest areas đą.Pack swimwear, non-slip shoes, and a camera! đ¸ #WesternAustralia #AlbanyToDenmark #RoadTripWA #CoastAndForest #ExploreAustralia
