Peruvian Cuisine in Barcelona’s Eixample District! Super Sour Ceviche!

Checking off the South American cuisine experience card! The atmosphere of this restaurant is nice and quiet, with a decor predominantly in mint green, giving it a strangely Southeast Asian vibe 😆. Went on a weekday lunch without a reservation, just walked in. The servers are all from Peru, and they serve fried corn kernels with chili sauce as a pre-meal snack. Ceviche mixto is a mixed lime marinated fish dish. Ceviche is a classic Peruvian dish, mainly featuring raw fish 🐟 slices, fried baby squid, cooked shrimp, and octopus 🐙 slices. The fish is soaked in a sauce made of lime juice, onion, red pepper, and other rich spices – super super sour! The marinated fish slices are not fishy and are quite tender, and the fried baby squid dipped in this sauce is also refreshing. If you love sour and the fragrance of 🍋, you’ll adore it! Aeropuerto Marino is a rice dish with abundant sides and a generous portion. The sauce that comes with it is sweet and sour but leans more towards sweet. If you don’t like sweet, don’t order it as it might be a bit cloying. The sides include eggs, 🍤🐙 various small seafood, 🫑 peppers, and something very similar to the Chinese “sanzi” – a rich texture. The average cost is 30 euros, which is a bit expensive 😢.Asked about the lunch menu, and it’s also 29 euros. #Barcelona #PeruvianCuisine #BarcelonaRestaurants #Ceviche #SouthAmericanCuisine #BarcelonaDining #BarcelonaTravel
