PETULA’s: South Boston on a sunny day is absolutely fantastic! 😎🌞

I’ve been living in Boston for over a year now, and I hardly ever visited South Boston. I asked a few friends, and they also said they rarely go there. Some even mentioned that it’s a bit sketchy. But by chance, on the weekend, I went with friends to check out a new brunch spot—Petula’s—and accidentally stumbled upon this area. On the map, it’s located right at the tip that sticks out below Seaport, right next to the sea! 🌊 Maybe it’s because I’ve lived in San Diego, but sunny South Boston gives me that seaside town vibe, although compared to La Jolla, it’s more like a plain, plain, plain substitute, haha. But I was surprised to find a beach here! Besides Revere and Quincy, I had no idea Boston had other beaches, and there were quite a lot of people enjoying themselves on the beach. 🏖️ The whole town is brimming with youthful energy. Outside the restaurants, all the seats are taken by young people. My friends say this is a popular hangout spot for Americans in their 20s, which explains the lively faces all over the streets. 🌟 Speaking of this brunch, if you want to check out South Boston, Petula’s is a must-try! Looking at it from across the street, it really gives you a California vibe. Although I only took pictures of the patio, the interior decor is also filled with a refreshing green hue. 🌿 For the order, I highly recommend the pizza (I forgot the exact name, probably something like Wake & Bake), but it’s super aromatic and has that crispy crust that I love. Another recommendation is the Coconut French Toast, which is super soft, coconutty, but not overly sweet. If you want something more substantial for lunch, the Hash & Egg is a good choice, the steak is cooked to perfection! 🍽️ As for the drinks, I don’t quite remember the names. The orange one might be called Hugo Spritz (I think it has soda), and it’s perfect for a hot noon. You can judge it by the picture. My personal advice is to sit outside; Petula’s patio is one of the best-looking brunch spots in Boston. On a sunny day, you should definitely enjoy the sunshine, haha! ☀️😄 #BostonLife #Seaside #BostonBrunch
