🎒 PhD Life | Week 36 – A Day Trip to Des Moines!

Another week of my visiting scholar program is done! Here’s how it went: Monday: Labor Day – rested at home 🛌💤 Tuesday – Friday: Focused on research and work at the college 📚🔍 Saturday: Explored Des Moines with friends! Highlights included: Iowa State Capitol 🏛️ – Looked like a majestic castle! Robert D. Day Asian Garden 🎋 – Felt cultural pride seeing Chinese elements and even two Americans practicing Tai Chi! Blank Park Zoo 🦁 – Saw flamingos, otters, lions, tigers, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, and kangaroos! So much fun 🐾 Roseman Bridge 🌉 – The famous covered bridge from the movie The Bridges of Madison County – nostalgic and picturesque! Sunday: Chilled at home – did laundry, organized photos, and binge-watched shows 🧺📸🍿 And now… it’s Monday again.
