Philadelphia/Naples Knows How to Cook

🌟 Bistro La Baia BYOB 🌟 πŸ“ 1700 Lombard St, Philadelphia, PA 19146 A family-owned Italian restaurant for thirty years, with very traditional southern Italian flavors. The atmosphere is extremely neighborhood-friendly, like a community dining hall where you feel at home. After eating here, you might even feel like your skin has improved. 🌟 Pre-Meal Bread The bread is warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, with a fluffy texture. The handmade tomato sauce is mixed with sun-dried tomatoes, giving it a soulful flavor. I asked for two more bread baskets and still couldn’t get enough. 🌟 Eggplant Rollatini Sized like tapas, perfect as an appetizer with white wine. The eggplant rolls are filled with traditional ricotta cheese. The most delightful part is that the eggplant has a slight sweetness! After two scoops, you can see the β€œmolecules” of the cheese, and another scoop reveals tiny blue cheese β€œspots.” The rich mozzarella has just melted, and the seeds in the tomato sauce hint at the subtle sweetness. This is the most charming and lovely eggplant rollatini I’ve ever had. I might never be able to enjoy the plain, breaded, and fried eggplant rolls again. 🌟 Fettuccine al Ragu Seasoned with vegetables and herbs, the slow-cooked beef rib sauce is incredibly tender. The dish is both refreshing and rich, a perfect balance. Before eating, the waiter sprinkles Parmesan cheese and black pepper. It’s a great dish for cheese lovers like me, following the principle of β€œstop when your mouth stops.” 🌟 Cappellini Johny Rocco The angel hair pasta is light and refreshing. The tomato sauce has no unpleasant sourness; instead, it’s sweet like malt sugar, without being overly sweet. The pasta is garnished with fried garlic chips, making every bite subtly delicious. It’s not an exaggeration to describe it as a Chinese-style scallion oil noodle dish. It’s not fair to compare it with Fiorella, as there’s a significant difference between the two regions. Both are stars of Philadelphia! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I highly recommend this place to friends who love Italian cuisine. #food #MyDailyLife #GlobalFoodieContest #AmericasFeast
