Philadelphia: Uyghur Lagman House
I had heard a lot of negative reviews before, but I thought things might have improved after a couple of weeks. However, it really left me speechless—like, I’ve never been this disappointed before. 💔 Let me start with the most outrageous part. My friend and I ordered a bowl of ghost meat noodles and a dry-fried dish. After more than an hour, the dry-fried dish still hadn’t arrived. We kept asking several servers, and one of the Chinese-speaking owners, after our last inquiry, actually sat on the sofa opposite us and did nothing! After a long while, he came back and said, “Sorry, the noodle maker dropped the noodles on the floor in the kitchen” (his exact words). I’ve never heard such a reason for not being able to make noodles. If you dropped the noodles on the floor once, couldn’t you just make another batch? It’s ridiculous. 💔 The kebabs and baked buns that were served earlier were almost lukewarm, and it took nearly half an hour for them to arrive. Overall, the service was extremely slow. The servers seemed oblivious to the customers’ needs. We didn’t even get any water by the end, and many of the items we ordered were said to be unavailable. For example, we ordered thin-skinned buns, but the owner said they were out. Yet, the two tables next to us, who arrived around the same time, were served the same dish. 📍 Uyghur Lagman House 13032 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116 #Philadelphia #PhiladelphiaFood #PhiladelphiaRestaurantHunting
