Philadelphia | A Half-Day Trip Recap (Including Transportation
๐ Transportation: Departed from VA and pre-booked parking via SpotHero at 400 Ranstead (just a 2-min walk to Independence Hall) ๐ ฟ๏ธ. Paid $18 for 3 PM - 9 PM. ๐ Stops After Parking: Independence Hall (featuring the $100 bill design ๐ต) + Liberty Bell ๐ โ both require security checks and are super close to each other. The Franklin Fountain ๐ฆ โ 10-min walk from Liberty Bell. (Fair warning: Strong weed smell + lots of homeless people around. Felt sketchy even in daylight. Not worth it, ice cream wasnโt that amazing either. Also in the opposite direction from City Hall.) ๐ โโ๏ธ City Hall ๐๏ธ โ 25-min walk. Highly recommend booking a tour if you have timeโitโs stunning! Sadly, I arrived right at closing time. ๐ข Love Park โค๏ธ โ Just across from City Hall. Only the iconic LOVE sign for photos, nothing else to see. ๐ธ Chinatown ๐ฅข โ Dinner at E Mei (delicious & affordable! Three dishes for only $75). ๐จ Accommodation: Found an Airbnb with free parking downtown. Originally planned to park and take the subway, but driving worked out fine. If youโre road-tripping, staying farther out could save money! Day 2: Quick stroll around UPennโs campus ๐ before heading to New York! ๐ฝ #NorthAmericanLife #Philadelphia #EastCoastTravel #UPenn #PhillyEats #TravelDiaries #USATravel #HistoricArchitecture #Travel #Wanderlust
