Philadelphia | Argentine BBQ | Malbec
🌟This Argentine BBQ restaurant, tucked away in Old City, was highly recommended by our South American colleague as one of the most authentic places to experience the flavors of their homeland. The neighborhood itself has an old-world European charm, and the restaurant’s exterior is quite understated. 🌟We ordered their signature dish—the PARRILLADA ARGENTINA, a two-person Argentine BBQ platter for $68. The portion size is enormous; two people definitely can’t finish it all! The platter includes: Grilled Angus Short Ribs: Marbled with fat, these ribs are infused with the aroma of charcoal grilling, becoming more flavorful with every chew. 🌟Skirt Steak: It has a bit of chewiness but is not tough at all. Sausage: Rich in flavor, salty, and slightly spicy. Blood Sausage: I was a bit apprehensive at first, but this version is incredibly aromatic. The filling is smooth like meat paste, giving it a unique texture. 👍Sweetbreads (Beef Thymus): Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the crunchy exterior really adds to the experience! All their meats are infused with the authentic scent of charcoal grilling. The seasoning is minimal, allowing you to savor the natural flavors of the meat. I highly recommend ordering the Salt & Pepper option. 👍We also ordered an additional plate of fried squid rings (RABAS) for $17. The flavor is pretty standard, not particularly outstanding, but they’re still crispy when eaten hot. #100RestaurantVisits #PhillyFood #Philadelphia #PhillyEats #BBQ
