Philadelphia | BBQ Recommended by South American Friends | Malbec

🌟This Argentine BBQ restaurant, Malbec, hidden in Old City, was highly recommended by our South American colleagues as one of the places that best captures the flavors of their hometown. The neighborhood itself has an old European vibe, and the restaurant’s exterior is quite understated. 🌟We ordered their signature dish — PARRILLADA ARGENTINA, a two-person Argentine BBQ platter for $68. The portion is huge; two people definitely can’t finish it all! The platter includes: 🌟Grilled Angus Short Ribs: Marbled with fat, these ribs are infused with the aroma of charcoal grilling, becoming more flavorful with every chew. Skirt Steak: It has a bit of chewiness but is not tough at all. Sausage: Rich in flavor with a hint of spiciness. 🌟Blood Sausage: I was initially a bit apprehensive, but this one is exceptionally fragrant, with a smooth, meaty filling and a unique texture. Sweetbreads: Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the crispy skin really adds to the experience! All their meats are infused with the authentic aroma of charcoal grilling. The seasoning is minimal, allowing you to savor the pure, unadulterated flavor of the meat. I’d recommend ordering Salt & Pepper to enhance the taste. 🌟We also ordered an extra dish of fried squid rings, RABAS ($17). The taste is quite standard, not particularly outstanding, but they are still quite crispy when eaten hot. The overall atmosphere is fantastic, with dim lighting that makes it perfect for a small gathering or a quiet BBQ night with your partner. #100RestaurantVisits #PhillyFood #Philadelphia #AroundPhiladelphia #BBQ
