Philadelphia Museum of Art Tour
⭐️I have visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art four times within a year, each time spending about 3-4 hours there. With some systematic study of fine arts, I would like to share some insights to help everyone enjoy the museum more.⭐️ ⭐️If it's your first time, I recommend booking a Highlights of the Museum Private Tour three days in advance online. The specific time and booking suggestions should be checked on the website in advance. The one-hour tour covers all the "treasures" of the museum, costing $160 (including admission) for up to 5 people. It's quite cost-effective to invite a few friends to join.⭐️ ⭐️For subsequent visits, there are several other category-specific tours you can sign up for, or you can choose to listen to audio guides, which is also a good option. I previously enjoyed listening to a guide who shared interesting stories behind the paintings, combined with the context of the times.⭐️ ⭐️The most worthwhile areas to visit: I recommend starting on the second floor to the right on the map. The Philadelphia Museum of Art is known for its extensive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. In addition to several Van Gogh pieces, there are many works by Monet (light and color), Cézanne (a combination of Impressionism and Cubism/color contrast), Renoir (portraits/genre), and Pissarro (pointillism). It's helpful to understand the general background of Impressionism and the styles of its representative artists, which will enhance your experience when viewing the exhibits.⭐️ ⭐️If you have time, the third floor also houses a collection of armor and weapons that is well worth exploring. The first floor mainly features modern art and limited-time thematic exhibitions. Every Friday evening, there is live music from musicians in the lobby (tickets can be purchased and reserved on the website).⭐️ #Philadelphia #PhiladelphiaMuseumofArt #Philadelphia #USAMuseums
