Sharing a week in Philadelphia with kunkun! 🧩 Exploring the world while also paying attention to safety! 🔍 🎨 Philadelphia Museum of Art Admission: $30 💪 Note: Free on the first weekend of every month and after 5 p.m. on Fridays! I was lucky to catch the first weekend in June! There are Van Gogh's Sunflowers, works by Monet, Matisse, and other famous masterpieces! It's one of the larger indoor art museums in Philadelphia where you can wander around and stay cool. Perfect for those who want to avoid the summer sun! 🌤️ 🏰 City Hall This is the central landmark of Philadelphia! A must-visit! The area around it can get really hot in the summer, with intense sun exposure, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun! It's just a 5-minute walk to the popular Chestnut Street and Walnut Street, which have a vibe similar to Huaihai Road in Shanghai! There are stores like BM, A lot, Tiffany, Kiehl's, Bluemercury, Sephora, Macy's, and more! 🛍️ 🤖 The museum is a popular spot for tourists. Within a 5-10 minute walk, you'll find the Rodin Museum, the Barnes Foundation, and lovely garden lawns that are perfect for strolling! There's also the largest indoor Whole Foods Market in the area! If you get tired from sightseeing, you can grab some desserts there. I highly recommend the tiramisu, three-flavor cake, and fruit tarts. They're very affordable and have a sweetness level that suits Asian taste buds! 🍰 ⚠️ Friends traveling to Philadelphia, please be extra cautious! The crime rate here is quite high! It's best for women to avoid taking the subway. 🚇 If possible, take a car! Buses are the next best option! There are many homeless people on the streets and underground, and it can get pretty smelly. 🍃 I mustered up the courage to take the subway, but when I got off, I was stopped by a man who said I couldn't leave unless I left the food I was holding! 😱 Safety first!
