Philadelphia Restaurant Week: Alice’s Pizza

Every time #PhiladelphiaRestaurantWeek starts, I always look for new restaurants to try, and that’s how I’ve discovered many hidden gems. This place, Alice’s Pizza, is one such find. I’ve walked past it dozens of times, always tempted by the gelato fridge but never had the chance to stop by. The $40 set menu allows you to choose four items. I was worried about overeating, but the first and second courses were relatively small portions, so it was manageable. Here’s what I ordered: 🌟Appetizers:😊 Genovese in Puglia: This pesto bread was surprisingly delicious and lighter than it looked. I’d give it an 8.5/10. Mozzarella Tasting: Skip this one. It’s just a few slices of cheese. You could get better value at the supermarket. 5/10. Suppli al Telefono: These fried rice balls with tomato and cheese inside were really tasty. It was a bit disappointing that there was only one, but I think having two would have been too much. 9/10. 🌟Main Course:😊 Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe: I ordered this pasta, which had a nice, thick noodle similar to udon. I really enjoyed it. 9/10. Pizza: My friend ordered the pizza, which was described as a blend between Italian and American styles. She said it was good, but I didn’t get a chance to try it. 🌟Desserts:😊 Tiramisu: 7.5/10. The coffee flavor was strong, but it didn’t quite match up to Little Nonna’s version. Banana Bread Pudding: Recommended by the staff, this was a popular choice. It tasted like banana bread, which was quite nice. The accompanying vanilla ice cream wasn’t particularly fragrant. I was expecting something better since they have gelato, but it was just okay. 6.5/10. #RestaurantRecommendation #ItalianCuisine #VegetarianFriendly #PhiladelphiaLife #ExploringRestaurants #PhiladelphiaFood
