Philadelphia to California Road Trip, Day 7: Getty Center

🎨 This is my fourth time visiting Southern California, but my first visit to the Getty Center in Los Angeles to see the art museum exhibition. The museum was built and opened in 1997, and its pride is Van Gogh’s “Irises.” ⚜️ “Irises” is one of Van Gogh’s later works, consistent with his style, featuring vivid and intense colors that have a strong visual impact. The purple irises and yellow daisies form a contrasting color scheme, with a white iris in the center that softens the visual impact while also enhancing the color contrast between purple and yellow. The earthy red soil harmonizes the purple, yellow, green, and white in the painting. This piece exudes warmth and vitality, with a touch of mystery. 🏠 Another highlight of the Getty Center is the entire complex of buildings and gardens. The center is situated on Beverly Hills, and after parking, you take a mini-train to reach the center. Walking in the gardens, having tea or coffee, and gazing out over Los Angeles is also a wonderful experience. As I was about to leave, I happened to bump into two stylish ladies in the garden, a rarity in the U.S., and their silhouettes against the backdrop were just perfect. #USTravelGuide #USTravel #LosAngelesTravel #WestCoastArtMuseums
