After work, I went to this seafood restaurant with a friend. It felt like an Asian fusion A La Carte open kitchen, giving off the vibe of dining in a chef’s private kitchen. The overall atmosphere was chill yet sophisticated. We ordered the chef’s choice tasting menu, which included 7 courses. Each dish was delicious! The portions were small, but by the end, we were quite full. Appetizer ☝️: Hiramasa Crudo 🌟🌟🌟 Hiramasa is a type of deep-sea yellowtail. The sashimi was paired with a light Japanese-style soy sauce and olive oil, making for a refreshing and palate-cleansing start. Appetizer ✌️: Scallop Toast 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Scallop toast 🍞, with tender scallops atop crispy baguette slices. The scallops were soft and succulent, incredibly fresh. The combination of the small bread and the slightly spicy, savory sauce was perfect—one bite at a time. Appetizer 👌: Chawanmushi 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This was an incredibly fresh dish. The chef’s understanding of Japanese steamed egg is exceptional. The mushrooms added a rich flavor without overpowering the eggs and seafood. Each element played its part, complementing each other beautifully. The sea urchin on top was incredibly tender. I often find sea urchin to have a strange taste, but this one was purely creamy, rich, and sweet. Main Course ☝️: Black Cod 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The crispy skin was amazing—like prawn chips, while the fish remained tender. The sauce was a light cream sauce, which I absolutely loved 💕. Main Course ✌️: Pan-Seared Halibut 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The grilled fish was paired with mussels, offering a light fusion of Chinese and Western flavors.
