Philly | Hidden Gem in University City
📍 Ramen Umai I’m reluctantly sharing my hidden gem that I’ve visited over 50 times. This place specializes in Japanese cuisine and various creative fusion dishes. The interior is super vibrant, and the owner frequently rolls out innovative new menus, so you’ll never get bored! If you have a Chinese palate, don’t miss this place. The menu regulars include Japanese ramen🍜, curry rice🍚, sukiyaki🫕, fried pork chops🥩, sauerkraut fish🍲, and sauerkraut pork bellychnera. Each one is definitely worth trying. First up is the fried chicken, which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, tasting just like the spicy chicken wings from McDonald’s back home! One bite and the chicken is super juicy, with a non-greasy skin that makes it impossible to stop eating. It’s perfect for sharing with friends, making for a really fun and happy dining experience. Next is the newly introduced spicy diced chicken noodles. The spiciness is just right, the chicken pieces are full of flavor, and the noodles are smooth and chewy. Once you take a bite, you won’t be able to stop! If you love spicy food, you definitely can’t miss this. In short, each of these three dishes makes you want to keep eating bite after bite. Ramen Umai has truly not disappointed me this time! I highly recommend everyone give it a try—you’ll definitely fall in love! 😋 #RamenUmai #FriedChicken #Noodles
