Philly Italian Restaurant Review (Loved the Eggplant Burrata!) 🍆🧀
The closest decent Italian spot near University City—most of the ones right in the campus area are just too average and boring (no names mentioned 😉). Every dish we tried here scored at least 7.5/10—nothing blew our minds, but nothing disappointed either. The atmosphere is pretty and polished, perfect for a date or dinner with friends. Left feeling really satisfied. Recommendations: 🐙 Grilled Octopus – tender and smoky. 🦪 Mussels – plump, fresh, and juicy. 🍆 Eggplant Purée with Burrata – such a delicious combo, light and refreshing. 🐟 Roasted Branzino – crispy skin, moist inside, with a wonderfully complex sauce on the side. 🦑 Squid Ink Pasta – loaded with crab meat and squid rings in a rich tomato sauce—must-order! 🍮 Crème Brûlée – creamy, not too sweet, with great vanilla flavor. The duck breast was tasty but not as tender as hoped—might as well get roast duck in Chinatown. 🍷 BYOB allowed! Great for anyone living near University City who wants a solid Italian meal without heading downtown. #PhillyFood #PhillyEats #PhillyItalian #UniversityCityEats #UPenn #FoodReview
