Philly University City Limited Edition Dishes Mania!! 🤯
🥘I've long heard about this place in University City that often comes out with limited edition dishes. I never had the chance to go, but their recent Luosifen-Sour Cabbage Fish is a must-try! It's a small shop near Penn, with very Japanese-style decor. The area isn't that busy, so there's no waiting time. I saw a few tables calling for service one after another, but the waitress was super patient. 🥘Luosifen-Sour Cabbage Fish I went there today specifically for this dish, thinking it might just taste like a packaged seasoning. But it was a mix of a very light luosifen flavor and another soup base, which was quite nice. It didn't have that strong "processed" taste. The portion was also generous, with a huge fried egg (though I'm not a fan of eggs). But the best part was that you could choose crispy fish! The combination of luosifen soup and crispy fish was like a double boost of flavor—absolutely amazing. The only minor letdown was that I was expecting some luosifen noodles, but there weren't any. Still, I highly recommend it. Black Garlic Oil Ramen 🥘This is also a popular dish. It has a rich Japanese ramen soup base with a subtle garlic aroma that's not too overwhelming. We chose chicken leg meat, which had a crispy skin and tender meat. The surface was drizzled with what seemed like eel sauce. It's a pretty unique combination, but it tasted great. In summary, the food is delicious, affordable, and very creative. I'll definitely be back. 📍Ramen Umai 32 S 40th St, Philadelphia, PA 19104 #Philly #PhillyFood #PhillyLife #UniversityCity
