Photo Diary: Olea|Experience Old-Money Romance in Newport Beach
Olea is a bar and bistro located in the heart of Newport Beach’s The Walk. (There are so many great restaurants around—I’ll share more soon!) 📍 2001 Westcliff Dr Suite 100, Newport Beach, CA 92660 【Romantic Ambiance】 1️⃣ Inside: A moody, dimly lit space washed in warm amber lighting, with delicate candlelight flickering on each table 🕯️. In this glow, everyone looks softer and more beautiful. 2️⃣ Outside: A bright, relaxed patio area—less intimate than inside but still brimming with charm. Perfect for enjoying great food while soaking in Newport’s laid-back vibe. 3️⃣ Jazz Touches: Smooth jazz melodies float through the air—not too loud, just enough to set a 💯 mood. 🎶 【Chic Bar Vibe】 The bar caught my eye as soon as I walked in—stocked with an impressive selection of whiskeys, gins, rums, and more. The bartender was polished and friendly, and several groups were already chatting happily at the counter, looking completely at ease. 😌 【French-Inspired Fare】 Here’s what I tried: 1️⃣ Grilled Canadian Salmon: A perfectly seared fillet, crispy outside and tender inside, served with walnuts. A light yet satisfying choice—great for a date night when you want to keep it elegant without overindulging. 2️⃣ Fresh Jumbo Blue Lump Crab Cake: The name alone drew me in! Though small, the cake was packed with flavor and texture—layered and delicious. 🍷|🕯️|🥩|🍣 = Romance defined. #Irvine #IrvineDateSpot #PhotographyDiary #IrvineRestaurants #IrvineBars #NewportBeach
