🍖 Pig's Knuckle Exploration | Maximilians 🍖
Hello everyone, welcome to Yue Bing's Food Diary! Today, I'm excited to share with you a German pig's knuckle restaurant I discovered in Berlin. This is Restaurant Maximilians Berlin. During the Christmas period, a friend visited Berlin, and of course, we had to take him to try the famous German pig's knuckle. We found this restaurant through online recommendations. Although Germans prefer to cook at home usually, for dishes like crispy pig's knuckles that require some skill, it's better to go to a professional restaurant to savor them. 🍽️ Restaurant Maximilians Berlin offers online reservations, and even though there weren't many guests on the day we went, they still asked for the reservation number. So, I recommend making a reservation in advance on their official website, and it's free. 🍴Ambience: The ambiance of this restaurant is quite nice. The waitstaff wears traditional clothing, creating a strong German restaurant atmosphere. The menu is available in both German and English, and if you can't read it, you can scan a QR code to use the electronic menu. 🍴Taste: We ordered a half portion of pig's knuckle and a serving of fried pork cutlet. My evaluation of this restaurant is average. The pig's knuckle had a good texture, but the marinade was a bit lacking. The fried pork cutlet wasn't as flavorful either, and the overall taste was relatively light. Perhaps it's because I have a heavier palate, their seasoning is more subtle, but overall, it's still very good. (A half portion of pig's knuckle is really enough!) In the end, we ordered a half portion of pig's knuckle, a serving of fried pork cutlet, plus two cups of apple juice, totaling 50 euros, and we left a 5-euro tip. If you're interested in traditional German pig's knuckles, this restaurant is a place worth trying. I hope you can also savor the unique charm of German cuisine here! #BerlinFood #GermanPigKnuckle #RestaurantMaximilians #GermanRestaurant #FoodExploration #Berlin #GermanLife
