Portland | Day 4 - See Snowy Peaks, Lakes & "Twilight Waterfall"

Portland | Day 4 - See Snowy Peaks, Lakes & "Twilight Waterfall" If a city can be tied to a movie, Portland is definitely one of them—it’s filled with a strong "Twilight" vibe 🎬. A brief record in the order of the day’s journey: Erickson Aircraft Collection2408 NW Berg Dr, Madras, OR 97741A somewhat niche private aircraft museum 🛩️. The indoor space is packed with planes, plus some introductions and very clean restrooms . The outdoor area is stunning—you can take perfect photos of Mount Hood’s snowy peaks , which turned out way better than expected 📸. Trillium LakeIt was cloudy with little sunlight that day, so we only took a few photos 📷. The entry fee is a bit pricey . There were tons of people fishing 🎣, and we even saw someone catch a big fish 🐟. Rowena Crest Viewpoint6500 Historic Columbia River Hwy, MosierIt’s not too far from Highway 35, but driving on Highway 30 was tough—the road is narrow, and you need to be extra careful with groups of cyclists 🚴‍♂️. At the top of the hill is a viewpoint where you can overlook the Columbia River 🌊. The popular "horseshoe-shaped" road makes you feel like you’re here to deliver tofu (a nod to Initial D) 🏎️. You can drive down from here; it’s not too hard if you take it slow ⛰️ Wahkeena Falls / Multnomah Falls (Dual Waterfalls) If Multnomah Falls (the big one) is too crowded (it fills up easily), park at Wahkeena Falls. The parking entrance is a bit hidden, but once you get in, there’s plenty of parking space ❗️It’s free 🆓.There’s a trail from Wahkeena to Multnomah—0.5 miles one-way 🛤️. It takes about 20 minutes at a slow pace; it’s a simple dirt path with a slight slope. Wahkeena Falls is actually better for getting close to nature —you can touch the waterfall’s water and get up close for great shots 📸.Finally, our "Twilight Waterfall"—Multnomah Falls. The bridge has a great vibe 🌉, but it’s super crowded . You can walk up from the right to the bridge; there’s a visitor center and clean restrooms too. 🍦 Last but not least, we have to recommend the ice cream from Tillamook Market inside Portland Airport ✈️. It’s super rich in milk flavor 🥛—$7 for two scoops, plus they add a cone on top 🍦. The guy serving it doesn’t skimp; the scoops are huge and dense, and he’s gentle and super handsome 😊! We’d give it 10 stars without hesitation ⭐! Whether you’re arriving or about to leave, it’s worth grabbing a cup—it’s pure joy, get it ✅! #HikingRouteRecommendation #OneDayHike #Nature #OneDayTrip #SceneryOnTheRoad #MyTravelDiary #Portland #Waterfall #Twilight #Multnomah
