Portland | Speechless 😭 My All-Time Top 1 Fancy Meal 🍴

Bellpine Finally, a Seattle local made it to Portland! 🎉 I once ranted about Seattle’s high-rise restaurant Ascend—and now I get why: the real gem was here all along, haha! ✨ Still so grateful to my generous friend for treating me to this fancy meal today. 🙏 Beef Tartare 🐮 The plating is super cute—it’s served in a bone, looking just like bone marrow. 🦴 But the taste is only so-so: a slight tang, not refreshing enough. 😐 Crab Sliders 🍔 The outer layer of the bun must’ve been brushed with caramel and baked, so it’s sweet—I absolutely loved that! 😍 The crab inside is just crab salad. Its plating is also adorable: served in a small box that opens like a jewelry case. 💎 Scallops 🐚 The scallops are mixed with tons of other toppings: veggies 🥬, mango 🥭, and nuts 🥜, with a fried pancake underneath. Personally, the flavor is way too complicated for me—I still prefer the pure, original taste of scallops alone. 🤷 Fried Potatoes 🥔 with Fish Roe This dish’s plating is so fun too! 🥳 When the chef brings it over and opens the box, it’s filled with sauce topped with heaps of fish roe. The sauce is even tastier than the fries 😋! Grilled Ribs 🍎 The best grilled pork ribs I’ve ever had in my life! 🤤 They’re fragrant, crispy, and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning—no greasiness at all! 👌 🍸 Please, please order their S’more for dessert—it takes both the experience and taste to the next level! 🚀 First, they bring out all the tools for making a regular S’more, then light a flame 🔥 so we can roast the marshmallows ourselves. 🍡 We sandwich the roasted marshmallow between chocolate 🍫 and cookies 🍪, and I thought that was the end—it was all normal so far. But after the alcohol flame died down, they brought out new tools! 🛠️ Here’s the highlight: the glass that held the alcohol earlier was actually filled with whiskey 🥃! They brought warm apple ice cream 🍨, which we poured into the whiskey and stirred—turning it into a whole new dessert. Plus, there were two small glasses with apple slices 🍎, filled with warm apple tea ☕. Hot and cold, sweet and boozy—this creative, multi-layered dessert totally won me over, haha! 🥇 Portland is still tax-free, so the final per-person cost didn’t even hit $100. 💸 #FancyMealsIEaten #PortlandFood
