Portland Bold-Flavored Korean Eats š°š·
Portland has no shortage of Korean restaurants, but these three are my go-tosāthink pork trotters, blood sausage, beef intestines⦠total must-tries for bold flavor lovers! Iām sharing them with anyone who craves that rich, hearty goodness š.š¦ Kkoki Korean BBQ Beaverton Location: 10325 SW Canyon Rd, Beaverton, OR 97005 Portland Location: 8001 SE Powell Blvd ste o, Portland, OR 97206 It has two spots, and I frequent the Beaverton one most. While itās a BBQ joint, my favorites are its pork trotters and hot potsāthe beef intestine hot pot is legendary š„š! The pork rib and potato hot pot is also fantastic, packed with savory broth and tender meat. The BBQ itself is solid but a bit pricey; still, a Korean friend of mine swears itās the best BBQ in town š„©. One Korean Restaurant Address: 6159 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97008 This spot also serves amazing pork trotters, but what really sets it apart is its fish pots and clay pot fish dishesāyou rarely find these elsewhere! The Monk Fish Stew and Monk Fish Pot are absolute standouts: the monk fish is tender, the broth is bold and spicy, and every spoonful is comforting š²š„©. Donāt miss them if you love seafood with a kick! JCD | Korean Restaurant Address: 3492 SW Cedar Hills Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005 During the pandemic, it only offered takeout, so I went ages without dining inābut itās always worth a visit for its offal dishes! I head here specifically for items like blood sausage, pork trotters, beef offal and blood sausage soup, and squid pot š¦. A Korean friend also vouches for its authenticityāevery bite tastes like home-style Korean cooking š. #USA #LifeAbroad #Portland #Foodie #RestaurantHopping #KoreanBBQ #KoreanFood #BoldFlavors #BloodSausage #BeefOffal #PorkTrotters š
