Portland Food Hunt: My Top 3 Favorites 🍴
Since my bestie lives in Portland, I’ve visited almost every year after graduation. Now, let me share my top 3 favorite restaurants! 📍Ox An Argentinean-inspired Western restaurant. You must try their fresh clam chowder with smoked bone marrow—sadly, I forgot to take a photo 📸! I’ve never had such delicious chowder; pairing it with bone marrow is absolutely amazing 😍. All their steaks are also incredibly tasty! 📍LeChon My personal top 1 🏆! It serves South American-style Spanish tapas, and every dish is a "wow" experience 😲. Must-orders include kalbi beef ribs, forged mushroom, and clam squid ink pasta. Their Spanish tapas have unique twists—different from what I usually eat, but still so good 👍! 📍Han Oak A long-time local popular spot for innovative Korean cuisine 🇰🇷. It’s not easy to stay popular in Portland for so long (some of my former favorite restaurants have closed 😢). The ambiance is perfect with both outdoor and indoor seating—super cozy 🥰. The set menu is $65 per person 🔪. Their menu seems to change every season, so what you eat might vary each time. This time, the first course had many different side dishes to pair freely with seaweed rice rolls—quite fun 🥢! Then there was "crab meets steamed egg custard" which was delicious 😋. Finally, we chose from 4 entrees, and the kimchi pork ribs won 🏅. The dessert was just okay 🤷♀️. I heard the same owner opened Jeju—I plan to try it next time 📝! #Food #Portland
